Experience
I was born in western Pennsylvania, where I enrolled at the University of Pittsburgh. I graduated in 2011 with my bachelor of arts. I moved to Chicago, where I graduated from the University of Chicago with my masters in humanities in 2013. I taught college-level students in Chicago for a couple of years. I'm back in Pittsburgh, where I both teach and tutor. I tutor in a variety of subjects, such as English, social sciences, philosophy, law, and art. I can prepare a student for their GRE subject test, whether they need to review the material or learn test-taking strategies that can improve their scores. I had to learn about college the hard way - no one in my family had been before me. There are many challenges that students face, as well as rewards for overcoming them. A private tutor can be a solid resource for improving one's chances at higher education. I can assist students in graduate test prep, ethics reviews, law coursework, and college essays. A solid foundation of the concepts involved in any course can mean a big difference. Thoroughly mastering the subject ensures self-confidence and preparedness. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy debating politics, learning about cultures, and going hiking.
